LoudLit.org may be down during Labor Day Weekend

We are expecting some down time over the Labor Day weekend as we switch our website to a new, faster server. Please excuse our dust.

Great Expectations now available for "page by page" reading

Web presentation made specifically for Berkley (MI) High School is available "page by page."

The Scarlet Letter now available for download

Our new production of The Scarlet Letter is available for mp3 download thanks to the generosity of Turner Restoration. If you would like to hear a sample of the recording, you may listen "page by page."

The new production of the Nathaniel Hawthorne classic is performed by Mary Wood. The production was underwritten by Gordon W. Draper, Lois and Will Yeats, Theresa Mahoney and Todd Fadoir.

Format and Technical Information

We have been struggling to find a way to consistently deliver audio while viewing web pages. Our latest attempt uses a mp3 player designed by Jereon Wijiering and uses the Flash Plug-in. It has worked consistently on all tested computers. Let us know how it works on yours.

Check Out Our mp3s

We are busy adding mp3 with embedded text to our collection. Some mp3 players (including 5th Generation iPod and iPod nano) allow you to listen and read on your player. On the iPods, repeatedly press the center button to get the "Lyrics" where the text of the work can be found. Distribute them freely, but please do not modify or sell them.
