Welcome to LoudLit.org.
LoudLit.org is committed to delivering public domain literature paired with
high quality audio performances. We pair together great literature and
accompanying audio.
Putting the text and audio together, readers
can learn spelling, punctuation and paragraph structure by listening and
reading masterpieces of the written word. Read and listen via your web
browser or on your mp3 player. Regardless of how you enjoy the
audiobooks (audio books), they are free.
The Cask of Amontillado is now available!
A co-production of Verkaro.com and LoudLit.org, Rod Harrison and
Quinn Armstrong perform a dramatization this
Edgar Allan Poe masterpiece. Thanks to
Gordon W. Draper
for underwriting this production.

Format and Technical Information
We have been struggling to find a way to consistently deliver audio
while viewing web pages. Our latest attempt uses a mp3 player designed
by Jereon
Wijiering and uses the Flash Plug-in. It has worked consistently on
all tested computers. Let us know how it works on yours.

We are busy adding mp3 with embedded text to our collection. Some mp3 players (including 5th
Generation iPod and iPod nano) allow you to listen and read on your
player. On the iPods, repeatedly press the center button to get the
"Lyrics" where the text of the work can be found. Distribute them freely, but
please do not modify or sell them.
